Weekly Activity
"Operation Humanoid of the Future"
** FINAL PROJECT COMPETITION #1 **
This week, project teams will complete the first final project component. Please review the instructions carefully and complete all the required steps.
Resources: You may likely need (1) paper, (2) pencil, (3) phone, tablet, or computer to generate AI images and videos, and (4) Internet access.
Context: It’s the year 2050, and your project team must travel to the future to visit Future Town to complete “Operation: Humanoid of the Future.”
Futuristic Town is a safe and environmentally friendly “smart” town full of humanoid artificial intelligence robots that can take on important roles to help improve the lives of humans. While these robots can help humans, they are not designed to replace humans altogether. Specialized humanoids can handle labor-intensive or hazardous tasks.
Mission: Your project team’s mission is to design a futuristic humanoid (an AI robot prototype capable of performing human functions) to solve an important problem or meet an important future need. Consider how we will live, travel, eat, shop, and other everyday life differences as you consider your humanoid.
Here are some areas where humanoids can address a problem or need:
-
Household tasks
-
Shopping
-
Climate or environment
-
Healthcare or medical assistance
-
Transportation or travel
-
Music or entertainment
-
Networking and Connectivity
-
Other ideas your project team has
You are only limited by your imagination! Good luck.
Instructions:
Step 1: Create an AI-generated image of the Humanoid:
-
Use the ZenAi.world website (https://www.zenai.world/centeroftransformation) and prompting to design a humanoid robot of the future. Include any specific characteristics of your robot that align with the futuristic need or problem your robot will solve.
-
Give the humanoid a name and ensure the name is included in the ai generated image.
-
Save the prompt for use and reference in Step 2.
B. Create an AI-generated Video:
-
Scroll down below the image generator on the ZenAI.world website (https://www.zenai.world/centeroftransformation).
-
Use the LTX-2 Distilled video generator model or another model to create a futuristic video of your humanoid saving the day based on the problem the project team is solving.
-
Upload the humanoid image that the Project Team created in Step 1 so that the humanoid in your image will be used as the inspiration for the video.
-
Underneath the Image Upload Section, use the black section and use prompting to create a 15 sec . video from scratch showing your humanoid in action, completing a rescue mission. The video should tell a brief story while showcasing your humanoid's unique and specialized skills.
-
Once the prompt and image are uploaded and complete, set the Clip Duration to 15 seconds and the Resolution to 16:9.
-
Then, click “Generate Video” to create a video.
-
Download your video and image for submission. Your video should not be longer than 15 seconds (or points will be deducted).
Step 3: Submit the Humanoid Video and Image: Using the Operation Humanoid Worksheet below:
Evaluation Criteria (75 points max): Project teams will be evaluated on the following criteria:
-
Humanoid is innovative and has unique characteristics (15 points)
-
AI-generated humanoid image created and given a name (10 points)
-
AI-generated 15-second video created (25 points)
-
Humanoid clearly solves a futuristic problem or need (20 points)
-
Adherence to following the directions (5 points)
Wrap-up
1. Reflection Questions:
-
What is an example of what a robot can do?
-
What task would you want a robot to do that you don’t want to do?
-
What is the difference between a robot and artificial intelligence?
-
Submit your Operations Humanoid video above.
